VERICON IS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER FOR THE NEW FERRAROS IN WESTFIELD.
Vericon was recently selected as the Construction Manager for the new three story Ferraros Restaurant in Westfield NJ. Ferraros has been a landmark restaurant in Westfield since 1969 that was severely damaged from a fire this past spring. The entirely new steel framed building is being fast-tracked in partnership with architect Studio 1200 with an anticipated May 2012 opening.
Preconstruction Services
The stage of the project that we can make the greatest impact on the success of the project is actually before construction even begins.
We can perform the following service during the Preconstruction stage:
• Evaluation and inspection of potential sites and building for the suitability of the project.
• Support of the design team during the design process
• Review drawings for constructability to verify that efficient, accurate, and thorough drawings are being developed.
• Prepare a value engineering review to evaluate alternative materials and designs to save the owner money.
• Prepare and monitor budgets so there are not surprises when the bids are received.
• Prepare and update the project schedule and select materials and trades that need to be pre-purchased to maintain the schedule.
• Create cash flow projections and assist in preparation of documentation for financing.
• Prepare bidding documentations, scopes of work, and bid analysis.
• Prepare third part pier review of drawings.
